We are bringing you several new treatment packages of Sowa Rigpa Tradition. Sowa Rigpa is the one of the oldest forms of healing in the world and has been in a practice for more than 2500 years in the Tibet and Himalayan Regions. “Sowa” means to heal the imbalance of the body and “Rigpa” means the knowledge or science of a subject to give a long and happy life without diseases and ultimately freeing all the beings from the roots of sufferings, which are the three poisons of the mind Desire-attachment, Anger and Close mindedness. Sorig is the unique healing system as it not only treats symptoms but also treats the main causes or roots of disorders. Our main treatments are traditional therapeutic gentle external therapy (Jyamtse Ku Nye) and Five Nectar (Amritas) steam. Jyamtse Ku Nye is a standalone treatment as well as preventive measure against illness and supportive treatment in conjunction with other modalities. It is an excellent way to relax, promote general health and well-being. It prolongs life by clearing and sharpening the sensory organs while supporting the function of internal organs. In the Ku Nye treatments, therapist focus on the specific points on the body which corresponds to different constitutions or natural of illness. Our Ku Nye therapists are from local Bhutanese community who have received full training and has some years of experience in the healing and wellness practice. They are dedicated to their work and are trying their best to serve the guest in the healing center. Ku Nye is a traditional therapeutic massage, which uses oils infused with medical herbs, herbal pouches, tsampa (roasted barley flour), old butter and sacred stones on the specific points of the body. By applying pressure on those points, the therapist brings the three humors (Wind, Bile and Phlegm) back into their balanced state and encourage them to return to their respective seats in the body.
